Climate Change Observatory Network

Momentum’s Climate Change Observatory Network (CCON) is a Maine-based photo monitoring program designed to work with local communities to measure and document local climate change impacts. Using citizen science and collaborative partnerships, the CCON encourages community engagement in climate action. Momentum’s CCON is part of Chronolog’s Climate Change Observatory (CCO), an online platform that compiles and monitors crowd-sourced photos of sites internationally

Climate Change Observatory & The Climate Change Observatory Networks:

The Chronolog platform provides a public database that collects data from CCO projects. The program compiles photos into a timelapse to better understand local impacts of climate change. Momentum partners with local conservation organizations, schools, and landowners to host and maintain posts throughout Maine, forming the Climate Change Observatory Network (CCON). This overarching role to facilitate access to a larger network provides stakeholders with additional support, resources, and solutions to overcome challenges they may face when working on their own.
