Evaluation Workshop Series with the Data Innovation Project - 4 Part Series

Curious about how to determine how effective and efficient your programs, policies, and/or organizations are in reaching their goals? Join the Data Innovation Project for a virtual evaluation workshop series for land trusts and other conservation organizations. The series will include four separate workshops focused on program monitoring, evaluation, and quantitative/qualitative data collection. Organizations of all sizes will benefit from learning how to implement evaluation practices into their systems.
Session 1: Set the Foundation for Monitoring and Evaluation - Thursday, February 5th from 10-12pm
- Participants will learn how to develop a theory of change and logic model for their programs/organizations; the foundation of all evaluation efforts.
Session 2: Performance Measurement: How to Track Your Impact - Thursday, February 26th, 10-12:30pm (*note: this session is longer)
- Participants will learn how to operationalize outcome statements from their logic models, set targets, and plan for continuous quality improvement.
Session 3: Develop Surveys to Get the Data You Want - Thursday, March 12th, 10-12pm
- Participants will learn the essential steps of survey design and how to write quality survey questions.
Session 4: Introduction to Qualitative Data Collection and Analysis - Thursday, March 26th, 10-12pm
- Participants will learn the basics of qualitative research and practices—including the difference between interviews and focus groups, how to develop quality open-ended questions, basics of facilitating a focus group, and how to record and analyze results
