Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong is a feel-good feature documentary about poop and the thankless pursuit of making a better world. As America’s aging wastewater systems begin to fail, one plant in Portland, Maine, and its motley crew of unlikely heroes battle aging infrastructure, “forever chemicals” and the misconceptions of an odor averse public to keep Portland, Maine clean and healthy.
The filmakers, Kaitlyn Schwalje and Alex Wolf Lewis are award-winning directors, with a portfolio that includes National Geographic, HBO, Walt Disney and more.
